Primary Weapons Acquired by Vigilant Gear

Boise, ID –Primary Weapons Systems Under New Ownership

Vigilant Gear Holdings has completed the acquisition of Primary Weapons Systems Inc., official as of March 21, 2022. Vigilant Gear Holdings, based out of Georgia, is not a new contender in the firearms industry. In 2019, Vigilant Gear also purchased Lone Wolf Distributors, now Lone Wolf Arms, located in Priest River, ID. While both Primary Weapons Systems and Lone Wolf Arms are in Idaho, they will be run independently as separate entities.

Primary Weapons Systems, the largest firearms manufacturer in the state of Idaho, has been headquartered in Boise, Idaho since its start in 2008. Dean Sylvester, Founder of PWS says, “I am very happy with the acquisition. The values of PWS have always been innovation, quality and customer service. These values will continue to define PWS as it grows, and I feel confident that Vigilant Gear Holdings will only grow these values and expand the reach of the PWS brand.”

In preparation of the acquisition, Vigilant Gear Holdings has invested capital into the business with the purchase of a titanium and stainless-steel 3D printer as well as a barrel blank manufacturing cell, furthering the ability of PWS to manufacture more than 90% of components in-house.

CEO, Nate Treadaway, stated, “PWS is known as an evolutionary design and manufacturing company. Our goal is to continue pushing the envelope while keeping the core values of the organization. We have a variety of innovative new products releasing throughout 2022, and we are excited to branch out to different sectors in the firearms market.”

About Primary Weapons Systems

Primary Weapons Systems (PWS) was formed in 2008 as a rifle component company and has since grown to be one of the largest firearms manufacturers in the Northwest. PWS initially made firearm accessories and compensators, but quickly moved into firearm manufacturing as they developed their PWS Long-Stroke Piston System which takes the operating system from Kalashnikov’s AK design and merges it with Stoner’s AR platform giving a hybrid rifle to shooters looking for a low-maintenance yet reliable and accurate firearm. PWS manufactures AR-15s in 223 Wylde, .300BLK and 7.62×39 as well as DPMS .308 pattern builds in both .308 Match and 6.5 Creedmoor- all with the long-stroke piston operating system. Also manufactured by Primary Weapons Systems are lightweight buffer tubes, steel body buffers, accessories, and a wide selection of compensators for firearms both piston-driven and direct impingement.
